How to use the date filtering function while conducting analytics

The filter's display is dictated by your browser settings, beneath the filter you will see a display of the date range being actioned by the filter. If you are seeing a US date format (left below) and wish to switch follow the settings below. If you are happy with your date view, click here to skip to the guide on filters.

Chrome and Edge

Click the three vertical dots at the top right of your browser window, then settings>advanced>language. Ensure "English (United Kingdom)" is top of the list, it must be top to act as the dominant display. Click the three vertical dots to the right of English (United Kingdom) then click "move to top".

Refresh your MVP Analytics webpage and you should see the change instantly.

Using Filters

You have a multitude of date options to select from, from single days to multiple years.

Years/Months/Weeks (Calendar)

This option shows you the whole of the previous year/month/week, at the time of writing it is April 2021, with the filter set to 1 calendar year you can see from the dates below it is showing the whole of 2020.

The last 3 months show all of Jan, Feb and March. It doesn't include the current month (April at the time of writing).

Top Tip

If you are increasing the range of a date e.g from 3 Months to a Year, change the number value first. There is no 'Apply' button. If you were to change the Year first it would filter to 3 Years, before you can change it to 1 year. If you have a lot of data in the system it may cause a delay while loading 3 years of data.

Years/Months/Weeks

This setting will go back from the current date, notice the dates for 1 year, and go back to 13th April 2020. The last 3 months, compared with the above go back to 13th Jan, which is 3 months ago from today's date.

This vs Last

If you would like to view everything in the current year/month/week, change 'Last' to 'This'

Clearing Filters

Click the eraser in the upper right corner to clear any selections in the filter
