Data Analytics - Two-Test Comparison

Modified on Tue, 21 Jun, 2022 at 3:28 PM

Understand the uses and benefits of this tab in your analytics.

This tab allows you to select two different tests from the filters and view how your athletes have scored in both.

Here we have Jump Height on the Y-Axis (higher = better) and 40m Sprint Time on the X-Axis (further left is better).

The data in this image is randomised therefore the black trendline isn't showing much, however with your results you may begin to see stronger trends that show the stronger you get the faster you are. The taller someone is the worse their agility score etc.

The graph also has vertical and horizontal median lines which pass through the athlete who has the middle score in the group. Instead of using the average, which would be skewed by one athlete with particularly good or bad scores, the median allows you to segment your athletes evenly into quartiles. An example is annotated below.

From these quartiles and a bit of coaching intuitiveness, you can adjust your training for those who may need to improve here. Some athletes may end up in the low jump and slow section, however, their sport or position may not require them to be one of the more explosive athletes in your cohort so this information does need interpreting with a coach's eye.
