Learn how to create questionnaires for your staff or athletes and understand the results table

Wellness is a crucial element of an athlete's performance and general health, especially with today's challenges for athletes of all ages.

We are looking to make it easier to construct a customisable questionnaire for individuals or groups of athletes and be able to quickly analyse the responses and allow you to take action on any issues that may have been picked up during the process.

MVP Analytics makes it simple to send the questionnaires to the athletes via their own athlete account that they set up during account setup.

Each and every athlete attached to your account has their own completely free account so they can log in whenever they need to through a smartphone or computer.

We also realise that athlete engagement is an absolutely crucial part of this so we have made it fun for them to complete each questionnaire with some exciting new developments like gamification coming soon!

So how do questionnaires work and how can I get started?

A) Questionnaire Types

Monitoring

This questionnaire contains questions that delve into deeper subjects such as home life, menstrual cycle, stress and more.  It is recommended to use this for specific occasions where your athletes have time to sit and think about their answers in detail, a specific Monday morning 15-minute slot for example.

A monitoring questionnaire is only available from within a 'Monitoring' event.

Check-In

Check-in questionnaires are designed to be sent out to athletes before an event to ask them how they are feeling immediately before the session. Questions are based on energy levels, meal consumption, readiness to train, muscle pain and more.

A check-in questionnaire can be attached to every event, except a monitoring event.

B) Where to create them

You can create your own questionnaire from the settings page and while creating a calendar event

Viewing Your Results

After the questionnaire is complete by your athletes you can visit the Analytics tab and click on the Squad Wellness section.

Below is an example view of the whole squad's results.

Colour Coding

At MVP we have chosen to colour code the answers based on a change in score rather than the specific score they have chosen. That means you will be able to see positive and negative fluctuations away from the norm.

For example if one of your athletes has rated their energy as a 4 for three weeks running and then rates it a 6 it would go green, showing you they feel better than usual. Another athlete may have rated their energy an 8 for 3 weeks and has also rated it a 6 this week, meaning the number will go red and you can investigate with your athlete why this has dropped.

You can view the answers given on a specific date, select the name of a custom questionnaire you have created and you can filter to only view a certain group of athletes.

Below I have filtered to 23rd August, looking at the Men's Rugby group's answers to my custom questionnaire "Stress + Life Q's".
