A step-by-step guide to creating events in your calendar for your organisation.
Creating events in your calendar is one of the key components of the use of MVP Analytics. You can organise your whole organisation or just a single athlete all from this feature.
Creating events is simple. You can do this from the calendar page and the create events page. Just click the "Create an event" button on the top right-hand side.
Create a custom event name.
Then pick a predetermined type, enter in times, dates, and duration. Select if they are repeating, on what days, how long for, and also set event reminders. If the event is a session that people aren't required to attend, mark the session "optional".
Event reminders are sent via email and in-app notifications to all the participants, both athletes and staff will receive these notifications.
Now you can select an event location. If you are yet to set one up you can also do this by clicking "Add new location". This can be anything you like...gym, 1st team pitch, physio room.
Here you can create a questionnaire that will be sent to your players to fill in. You can choose from a previously saved template or choose from one of our pre-sets.
RPE and athlete performance
Here is where you enter your expected RPE (Rate of perceived exertion - how hard you feel the session is going to be out of 10 - learn more about RPE here).
By entering in this number we can start to get an understanding of athlete workload and even the differences in how hard you think players are working v how hard they think they are working.
If you would like this information from the players you can simply check the "Athlete RPE" toggle. You can also ask your players how well they performed in that particular session by clicking on the toggle "Athlete performance".
Event notes can also be utilised as a place to keep pre and post-event thoughts to review at a later date.
Invite your athletes and staff/coaches by selecting them from the dropdowns. You will find the groups you created here too, which will make it simple to select them. If you marked the event as optional, this is where you can select the athletes.
