We will run through the basics so you can learn how to use the system more effectively and get the most from your account

The contents of this article. Click to jump to the most appropriate one or check out the video below.

All of the below screenshots are based on a mobile experience (most athletes will use MVP Analytics on mobile!). The desktop experience will be slightly different.

Your homepage

This is where you will land after you have logged in. We have added some useful links at the top and also some up-to-date stats from your performance (MVP Score) and overall workload.

You will find links to update your profile and manage connections

We have included some of the most commonly used parts of the app on this page (for example filling out your daily questionnaires) to make it easy.

These statistics will constantly update giving you a great picture of your current status allowing you to closely monitor your progress.

Your calendar

This is the core of your analytics account. It manages your timetable and allows you to enter in some very valuable information about your training sessions. You can filter these sessions by type, so just click the dropdown at the top of the page and choose the appropriate one.

From your calendar, you can view details of an event such as your questionnaires your RPE form, dates and times of the events you have been invited to, duration, location, attendees and notes. As well as what the session will consist of.

Looking at your data

When you tap on the 3 lines and then the Analytics section.

You will be presented with a number of different options.

Testing day Ranks - If you were tested by MVP - your ranks will be here.

Benchmarking - A bit more detail about your ranking. Whether you are an MVP'er or not

Wellness - Track your wellness questionnaire answers and see how you are feeling over time.

Activity & Workload - Track the number of sessions you are doing, how hard you are working and cool stuff like the acute: chronic workload

Your results - A simple list of all your tests and the raw results from them. Also, check out improvements "at a glance".

Attendance - Check your overall attendance rate and break that down by session type.

Personal bests - Number of PBs, PBs over time and more detail into your PBs like the latest one and the & change.

You can easily switch between all these by using your back button and choosing another page as you wish.

Changing your profile information

Your profile is going to be a very important weapon in your armoury as you develop. MVP has big plans for your profile and we are going to give you all the tools you need to succeed!

Very simply you need to keep your profile up to date. Your school/club/team will keep adding validated data to your account that will show in your data analysis section but you can also update your profile image, your biography and your important personal information.

You can access your information and edit it in the settings tab.

Settings-MVP-Analytics (3)

This is a chance to personalise your account, getting it ready for the opportunities that are down the line for you now that you are a part of MVP!

Your profile will be the window into your athletic ability, so step one is to choose a profile pic. It is very simple to do. Just upload an image that best represents you (we recommend something sporty like an action shot) and that's it! As long as you have that image file on your computer or on your phone you are good to go!

By writing a comprehensive bio that showcases your talents you will be well on your way to a successful MVP'er! You will notice that there is plenty of text space so feel free to make it as long as you would like but remember that something factual, interesting and impactful will always go down well.

Here is a good example from an athlete who plays a high level of basketball.

"I am a strong guard and have a deadly 3 point shot and also a mid-range jump shot. I am lightning quick and can handle the ball very well. I have great athleticism and am a natural leader on the court. I also have great speed on the open court. I am a hard nose defender with solid lockdown defence, great court vision and can handle the ball under pressure. I am a smart player while under pressure or in close game situations."

Connections

MVP Analytics has been built to help you unlock your potential.

Everything revolves around your free athlete profile.

Athletes like you will receive "connection" requests at times. You can obviously "connect" with your own team to allow collaboration on your account. You may also be asked from connections from other organisations.

Especially if you are involved with two (or more!) who have MVP Analytics. These can be managed in your settings.

Essentially you have your own "passport" and as such can take this with them wherever you go (ie) a school leaver, and take it to the next stage of athlete development (club/University).

Filling in questionnaires and post-session feedback forms

Via your calendar, by clicking on an event (and also via the "stopwatch" on the left-hand column) you can access RPEs (more about that here) and your questionnaires. These forms and questionnaires are very important mechanisms for giving feedback to your coaches on your sessions and more. You can access them as per the screenshot below.

Calendar-MVP-Analytics (8)

Here is what an RPE form looks like that you will be filling in post-session. Basically, your coach will want to know how difficult you found the session as a whole out of 10. There is a coloured guide to help.

And most questionnaires you will fill in will look like the below. Just use the slider to indicate the answers to the questions.

Notifications

In your account, you will notice a bell in the top right-hand corner. This is where all your notifications will be. You will be notified of event invitations (say a training session), reminders for those events, notifications if they are edited or cancelled, messages and more. You can simply access these by clicking on the bell.

When you click the bell your notifications will appear. Click on any of these to manage them.

Using the knowledge base

Within your MVP Analytics account, there are links and tips that will help you get the most from it.

The first symbol to look out for is a "?". When you click on these it will take you to a short article in the knowledge base (a little like the one you are reading right now!)

Sample data

In the top right corner, you will see a little account icon. Tap that and you will see a button called "view sample data".

Home-MVP-Analytics (30)

This button populates your whole account with some anonymised data from another athlete (we have called him Chuck Norris). Turn it off and it will return to your own data.

The reason we have included this as an option is to give you the opportunity to see what an account might look like once you have been using it for a while. So you can use Chuck's account to view what your improvements and development will look like!

Education

As part of your free profile, we will include some credible and valuable educational material to help you to develop. This will be sent occasionally via email and will appear in your notifications panel when a new one becomes available but will also be available in your account so you can access it whenever you want. Just follow the instructions below!
